I need another holiday!

Mum says the sign of a good holiday is if you need another one when you get home and I certainly do! Tired puppy, me. We did such a lot and I was with Chip and my people 24 hours a day.

So today I’ve been recharging my batteries. Mum brought my cooling mat into our hall but the temperature has dropped 10c so I’m happier on our lovely carpet, with something to rest my head on. The cushion…er, accidentally fell on the floor when I was told to get off the sofa so I’m making use of it.

Living the best life

We’re back home having had a wonderful time on our holidays. Irish Aunt bought cool mats for Chip and me so that we wouldn’t get overheated and they were fantastic, especially for travelling in the car.

We had connecting rooms in the hotel* and were allowed everywhere except the restaurant. It was such good weather that the humans only had breakfast indoors and we sat outside for meals in the evening. There were some lovely guests who gave us fuss and we had loads of grass and woodland to explore.

We took a drive – roof down on the car – to Croft on Tees where we had a cooling romp in the river. I realised I’d never been in a river before – the sea, the quarry, but never a river. Loved it.

Looking my best

We are having an hotel break this week so mum says I have to look my best. Out come the clippers and I’m having a close groom so that my spots show.

She did it before the sun got up to top temperature and we both came out the other end without being sweaty and bothered. I showed my appreciation in appropriate doggy fashion!
