I have a new pal!

nev and truffs

Mum gets a message lunchtime from someone she hasn’t seen for a-g-e-s who is on the beach with her dog and wonders if she can meet up.  Give me ten minutes says mum and, although I’d had a long walk AND we’d had breakfast out, she takes me and we head to the same cafe.

Well, I have to say Nev (short for Neville) was lovely, a proper gentleman with impeccable manners. Very surprised to hear he is a rescue dog because he is beautiful and very well behaved.

Mum said we should have a treat so we shared sossidges, a bit for him, a bit for me.  He can give a paw, but not as high as I can.  He needs more practice – we have to meet up again soon and get more sossidges.

A proper walk

Since my mum hurt her knee last October, she’s been unable to take me for much of a walk.  Down the street, round the corner to the park (which is good cos she sits down and throws the ball for a-g-e-s) but that’s about it.

Today the sun was shining, there was no wind so we did the park then went to a cafe for breakfast.  She wasn’t very hungry so we shared a cheese scone.  Mmm, I love cheese scones.

Then imagine my surprise when she turned left instead of right when we started off again.  The waggonway – we walked down the waggonway!  She busied herself admiring the spring flowers – loads of snowdrops and crocus and one solitary daffodil while I had a glorious sniff in the undergrowth.

Mum says of she doesn’t pay for the extended walk and it stays mild, we will be round there again very soon.
