Canine café!

Such frequent doggy visitors to our back yard that I think we have turned into a canine café! The biscuit tin comes out and we all get our share. The cocker spaniel is a bit of snob, turns his nose up at dog biscuits but will try to snaffle human food. I never do that (unless it’s left on a low table for a-g-e-s). If my mum is eating when they arrive she usually saves a bit for snootypaws but don’t mind as I get some as well!

We went to a café again!

Lots of pubs and cafés have opened up again today after three months of lockdown.  Marley said mum hadn’t to go to the pub but I chivvied her to have lunch out – the first time since March 15.

We went to one of our favourites, Eden’s Café, and shared Croque Monsieur and a celebratory glass of prosecco, not that I got any fizz.  Mum said it was delicious and she was so happy to be eating out again.

Our main street has been pedestrianised so that there is plenty of space for social distancing and there were lots of people about, even though it’s a dull day with rain threatening.  The bread shop was already sold out of bread!

Some people are moaning about not being able to park outside shops but it’s so much more relaxed without cars and the cafés and bars can put tables outside without customers having their feet trampled on.

There’s a big hoo hah about a new cycle lane on the road on the sea front which is diverting traffic into the town and causing chaos.  We think that’s daft, especially as the wide pavement along the coast already has a cycle lane!

Busy, busy
